1- Adding ‘ing’ to verbs
2- Investigate and learn to use the spelling pattern ‘le’
3- To recognise and spell common prefixes and know their meanings – un, de, dis, re, pre
4- Use above prefixes with root words to make new words
5- Changing words when ‘er’ and ‘est’ are added
6- Changing words when ‘y’ is added
